2) Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

A. Information You Provide to Us
  • Account information: name, email address, password (if not using social login), user role (consumer or business), and account preferences.
  • Profile information: profile photo (if uploaded), location (city/state), and optional bio or business description.
  • Business information (for business accounts): business name, address, phone, website, category, service descriptions, operating hours, and offer details.
  • Offer and transaction details: details about offers, requests, redemptions, scheduling notes, and messages exchanged through the platform.
  • Support communications: messages you send to us, including emails and help requests.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
  • Usage data: pages viewed, actions taken (e.g., creating an offer, requesting an offer), clicks, referral sources, and timestamps.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used for login sessions, preferences, security, and analytics.
C. Information Related to Reviews and Review Platforms

Our Service may allow you to store links to your business profiles (e.g., Google Business Profile link, Yelp link) and/or review URLs you provide.

Important: Unless you explicitly connect a third-party account through an authorization flow (such as Google OAuth), we do not directly access your Google or Yelp account content. Most commonly, users provide public links and information.

3) Google User Data (OAuth) — Data Accessed (Required for Google Verification)

If you choose to sign in using Google Sign-In (OAuth), our application may access the following Google user data, depending on the permissions (scopes) you approve:

  • Basic profile information: your name and profile image
  • Email address
  • Google account identifier: a unique ID used to link your Google login to your account
  • OAuth tokens: access tokens and/or refresh tokens issued by Google (used only to keep you signed in and provide authorized functionality)

We do not request access to your Gmail content, Google Drive files, or other Google data unless we clearly ask for that permission and you explicitly grant it. If we ever request additional Google data in the future, we will update this policy and our consent screen disclosures accordingly.

Google API Services User Data Policy – Limited Use

We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features of the Service, and we do not use Google user data for serving ads, building advertising profiles, or selling data.

4) How We Use Information (Data Usage)

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service (create accounts, manage offers, enable requests, track redemptions).
  • Authenticate users and keep accounts secure (including Google Sign-In if used).
  • Facilitate communications between users and businesses when they choose to message through the platform.
  • Personalize user experience (show relevant offers, remember preferences).
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain safety and prevent abuse (fraud detection, spam prevention, enforcing our terms).
  • Improve the Service (analytics, performance monitoring, debugging, and feature development).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements.

We do not sell personal information, including Google user data.

5) How We Share Information (Data Sharing)

We may share information in the following circumstances:

A. With Other Users (Platform Functionality)

Some information is shared as part of the Service:

  • If you are a business, your public business profile and offers may be visible to users.
  • If you are a user requesting an offer, we may share necessary details with the business to fulfill the request (for example: name, contact method, appointment notes, and request status), depending on how the Service is configured.

B. With Service Providers (Processors)

We use trusted third parties to help us operate the Service. These providers may process data only on our instructions and only as needed to provide their services. Examples include:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure
  • Database and storage providers
  • Monitoring, logging, and error tracking
  • Customer support tools
  • Email/SMS delivery providers (if enabled)

C. For Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or our Service
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Enforce our terms and policies

D. Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell Google user data or personal information to third parties.

6) Data Storage & Security (Data Storage & Protection)

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including Google user data, such as:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Access controls and least-privilege permissions
  • Secure storage of sensitive credentials and tokens
  • Monitoring and logging for suspicious activity
  • Routine security updates and patching practices

No system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

7) Data Retention (Data Retention & Deletion)

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (such as security, dispute resolution, and compliance).

Typical retention practices:

  • Account and profile data: retained while your account is active.
  • Offer, request, and message history: retained to provide the Service, support users, and maintain platform integrity.
  • Logs and security records: retained for a limited period for fraud prevention and system security.
  • Backups: may persist for a limited time before being overwritten (example: 30–90 days).

Google OAuth Tokens

If stored, OAuth tokens are retained only as long as needed to keep the Google connection active and provide authorized features. Tokens are removed or invalidated when you disconnect Google or delete your account (subject to backup retention).

8) How to Delete Your Data (Accessible Deletion Process)

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time:

  1. Email us at: support@reviewers.online
  2. Use the subject line: “Data Deletion Request”
  3. Include the email address associated with your account.

We will verify your request and delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

If you used Google Sign-In, deleting your account will remove the Google identifier and any stored tokens associated with your account (subject to limited backup retention described above).

9) Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in
  • Remember preferences
  • Protect against fraud and abuse
  • Understand how the Service is used and improve performance

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

10) Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion (see Section 8)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise rights, contact us at support@reviewers.online.

11) Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.

12) International Users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such processing and storage.

13) Third-Party Links and Services (Google, Yelp, etc.)

The Service may link to third-party platforms such as Google, Yelp, and others. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.
